Migration social networks influence persons tendency to migration by reducing perceived risk and facilitating the flow of information. This study based on a critique of structure oriented models. It also applies the concept of selfefficacy in explaining agentic capacity in networking.By distinguishing between the structural and content dimensions of the network(tie versus the quality of the tie)an analytical model was conceptualized and tested. This model comprises the fourfold statuses of strong and efficient network weak and inefficient network absence of network and agentic networking. The method was a survey.Data were collected using a researchermade questionnaire from 420student of Tehran University and analyzed using ordinal logistic regression. The results showed that approximately half of the students(46.2%)have a tendency to migrate from Iran.Furthermore the status of the migration network is an effective and predictive variable for this tendency. The odds of migration tendency among students with a strong and efficient network are more than three times those of the student group without a network.Additionally a nearly twofold odds ratio of migration tendency in agentic networking group compared to the group without a network(OR=1.91)demonstrates a key point. It proves that individual agency and selfefficacy in forging ties and social networks act as a significant factor influencing the migration decision.
